written by Lilian Ndongmo. ESL Teacher
Forming plurals is a piece of cake for some, but a little complicated for others. For beginnesr, it can be a tough nut to crack. By the way, if you have one nut and I give you another nut, then you will have two ____? There. You see, it’s not so bad after all. You added S and got the right answer. Bravo! But wait. It’s not that simple.
Let’s dive into the land of animals today. We, yes you and I, will play a game called ANIMAL PLURALS. This is how it goes. I give you one (singular noun), you give me two (plural of same noun). For example, I say “one dog”, you say: “two dogs” I say: “one cat”, you say: “two cats”. Got it? Good. Now let’s play.
